News About Cards
As you may know, in addition to making Hedger Humor cartoons, I create greeting cards. I work with two companies:
1. Recycled Paper Greetings. You can find these cards in retailers like Target, Walmart, grocery stores, drug stores, independent card stores, car washes and more. Here are some of my cards that are out on shelves. (Unfortunately you can't buy them online, only in stores.)
The "Directions on Box" and "Grocery Bag" cards are in collaboration with my friend Abby Has Issues (based on her tweets).
It takes hundreds of rejected cards and years of submitting ideas to actually get a card on the shelf. I've been working at this for 17 years! Someday I'll share more about that journey.
2. Paper Rebel. For this company, I only write the copy -- they do all the design and art in house. You can find Paper Rebel cards in Target, but they also just launched a website! So now some of the cards are available to buy online, and they are shipped to you for FREE.
Paper Rebel works with several writers, and I'm just one of them. But here are some cards I wrote that appear on the website. (Click on the images to to go the website.)
There are a lot of cards over on the Paper Rebel site, so you can browse around. But warning: Some of them are edgy! Don't say I didn't warn you!
Also, if you have any questions or want more info on my cards, just reply to this email!
The Return of Hedger Corp.
Folks, it's back! I'm once again posting new Hedger Corp. stories.
Is it weird that these ridiculous Hedger Corp. stories are one of my favorite things to do? I don't know what that says about me... and I don't plan to explore it too deeply.
I'm posting these stories on Facebook and Instagram, if you want to follow along. Or just know that I'll always recap them in the newsletter!
This week I posted Parts 1 and 2 of an ongoing story.
Read Part 1 here, or click on the image below.

Two Updates
The podcast I was on is now live! It's called On Middle Ground, and I talked to the host Adrianne Meldrum about finding the humor in parenting teens. Find it on iTunes or Google Play, or click the image below to listen on Adrianne's website!
The other update: Remember the dancing kid I previewed in the last issue of the newsletter?
Well here he is in all his dancing glory! (Cartoon in collaboration with Babble.)
As readers pointed out, the one major dance move I left out was the "The Floss." That actually deserves its very own cartoon. Have you tried that dance?? It's so hard! I've tried it again and again, and failed miserably. Much to my kids' amusement.
Top Cartoons
I've been posting cartoons about driving, sports equipment, lip balm and more. Visit my website to catch up on anything you missed!
This cartoon was the most popular in the past two weeks...
All of this comes from firsthand experience, of course. Claire became an EXPERT at dreaming up random things to do during Kate's soccer games.
As she got older, though, she just did this.
Note how she's not even facing the field.
Well played, Claire. Well played.
Monthly Art & Videos
Over on my Patreon page I post monthly videos and special cartoons for people who pledge $1, $3 or $5 monthly to support the Hedger Humor cartoons. Interested? All the info is at that site. And THANK YOU to all those who support my work!
