What's Happening With Clay
Our houseguest Clay is still here. He was a "grow your own boyfriend" toy that Claire got from a store. But after growing him in water, she lost all interest, so now he's hanging out with me.
Unfortunately, he's a bit annoying. Lately, he's been climbing into my tea when I'm not looking. He think it's his own personal hot tub.
When it's a cold day out and you turn around to take a sip of some delicious hot tea, this is NOT what you want to see:
Decorating: A Special Family Time
In other news, the children told me they would help decorate the house for Christmas. But after putting up their favorite two decorations, they took a “break” that lasted the entire time it took me to finish decorating. Thanks, kids! Good times.
Picture of the Dog
This isn't really "news" per se, but I took a cute picture of the dog.
Microwave Update!
There’s been another major development in the microwave saga. Here’s the update.
(If you aren't caught up with the microwave saga, see this blog post.)
Holiday Treats!
A plate of treats is always a crowd-pleasing holiday gift. And good news: It's not hard to create delicious candy. Here are three easy recipes for you.
Just click on a recipe to open it in a new screen, and then you can either print it or save it to your device.
In Case You Missed It
Bowl Games
Here are the recent Bowl Game cartoons I posted. (This is where I pull random words out of bowls, then create a story based on those words.)
Hostile Green Bean Casserole Opening a Food Truck
Haughty Tablecloth Overreacting
Baffled Koalas Tubing Down a River
Surprised Snowman Wearing a Matching Sweater
Partnership With Grown & Flown
I’m partnering with the company Grown & Flown, which is a great site for parents living through the teen and college years. I collaborated with them on some merchandise that you can see here.
I’ll also be creating cartoons for them and I've even started (very lightly) animating my art for Instagram Reels! If you're on Instagram you can see one of my Reels here.
P.S. Don't forget that Hedger Humor has an online store as well!
Hedger Corp Update
In the latest story, two employees attended what they thought was a costume party. But it wasn't. And things didn't go well.
This was a fun one to photograph because I used a whole bunch of dollhouse characters and toys of varying sizes, which I felt added to the humor of the whole thing.
Also, people who follow the Hedger Corp Instagram page voted for which costumes the characters would wear. Here's the story!
Most Popular Cartoons
You can find my cartoons on Instagram, Facebook, and on my website. So follow along!
These cartoons were the most popular over the past month. First we have this cartoon that I did in collaboration with Dad Bits.
Then we have this one (from the archives) about how I feel on Thanksgiving every year.
And that wraps it up for this issue! Thank you for reading!
