Sometimes, when life presents me with challenges, I imagine that it’s all part of a big game. A video game, if you will. I’m the main character of this game (just like you’re the main character of your game). And somewhere, there’s a little character who is programming challenges to happen—as part of the game.
Let’s call this character Fizzle Bop.
Fizzle Bop loves to dream up challenges for us, and our mission is to conquer those challenges.
Fizzle Bop isn’t malicious. He’s not an evil character who wants to harm us. It’s simply his job to create challenges in the “Game of Life.” So that’s what he does.
For me, the most helpful part of this is when I imagine myself interacting with Fizzle Bop. For example, if I’m facing something difficult, I’ll say:
Or if it’s really difficult, I’ll say:
I imagine that Fizzle Bop is happy that his challenge is effective. But even so, he’s rooting for me.
This won’t work for every situation. But sometimes, thinking about life as a game can be motivating, especially if you picture a Fizzle Bop-type character trying to trip you up.
“Not this time, Fizzle Bop!” you might say. And that lights a fire in you. It inspires you to come up with a solution to your problem. It gives you the courage to face a challenge. Because no, you’re not going to let Fizzle Bop win this one.
And when you’re able to make it through the difficulty, even Fizzle Bop is happy for you.
So that’s my weird idea this time. See if it helps you!
I hope you have a great week ahead!

Fizzle Bop is Fizzle Bob in one location.
Murphy’s law turned into challenging friend, lol. Interesting.
I call this a PLOT TWIST! And figure my way out of the painted corner, sometimes with cussing, TBH. Fizzle bop is very cute. He can be Plot Twist's mascot. ;)
