OK, here’s my idea for this week: Imagine all the items around you are taking really good care of you.
For example, if you’re lying in bed, imagine the pillow and bed are totally focused on making you happy. They are saying:
If you’re in a chair, imagine the chair saying:
These items around you want to take care of you. They’re honored and excited to do it.
Everywhere you look, things are focused on your comfort…
As you picture these things, you can think, “Thank you, slippers.” “Thank you, lotion.” “Thank you, mug and coffee.”
Basically, this is an easy and amusing way to remind yourself to be grateful for the little things throughout the day. Because being grateful can support greater health, happiness and wisdom.
So it might feel silly, but try it out! Use your imagination and picture the inanimate objects around you loving you and being SO happy to help you.
Oh, also: I decided to keep going with the Monday Motivations because I have more I want to share. So watch for more to come!
Thank you for these! Definitely something to look forward to on Mondays.
I always thank Alexa and Siri. When the AI overlords take over, I would like them to put in a good word for me. (Not crazy - just thorough).
I hope so although I'm slightly concerned my mattress might be muttering, "oh no, that fat b*tch AGAIN?!!"
