I love your newsletter, and instagram, but the softball bag spoke to me on a deep level. While we didn't have the (possibly) stinky things, there *is* a bucket of balls on our bottom stair landing that has lived there since our youngest daughter was in high school. She just turned 29......just saying. ;-)
I just want to say, I'm so glad you're on substack. I saw today's post and had to look for this news to see if this was new or if I was totally obtuse. You'll love it here.
Thank you! I was so resistant to make the move from Mailchimp because it seemed daunting, but it was actually way easier than I thought. And I already love Substack! Mailchimp is fine for certain things, but Substack is way more suited to what I want to do. Thank you for the welcome! : )
I LOVE your newsletter and your humor! I’m not on instagram… but now you’ve given me a reason to consider joining. Thank you so much for all the laughs!!
Love your stuff on Instagram. I just subscribed to the news letter. I also want to thank you for introducing me to Alice's Kids. I love what they do and wish they had been around when I was teaching. I now support them monthly. You are a very bright spot in a sometimes scary world.
Susan, thank you. I'm so happy you're enjoying the cartoons! And Alice's Kids is indeed a special charity. I've talked to the Vice President many times. He and his team are so dedicated to helping kids. It's really inspiring. That's fantastic that you can help support their work!
Adrienne: Funny newsletter - thanks! Will you be posting Hedger Corp adventures on HedgerHumor.com? The Instagram Hedger Humor site doesn’t seem to work for me.
Thank you so much for letting me know! I will post it on my Hedger Humor website so you can see it! I'll do that by the end of this week. I know you're dying to know who's more productive: Bob, or a slug? : )
After your kids grow up and have kids of their own, there will be piles of their stuff still living in your house. We still mail boxes of their stuff to them. Sometimes they are happy to see their childhood stuff. Sometimes not so much….
Yes! I think I'm going to make my kids go through their "save boxes" this summer and weed things out. We have stuff all the way back to preschool, and I'm CERTAIN not everything is a "keeper." I'd love to get the big boxes down to something smaller. Especially since I will have to store them!
Good luck with that. The kids will want to keep some things. You will want to keep other things. There will be a slight reduction, but the box will live in your house for many, many years. Send it to them at Christmas when you want them to really take care of it....
I have been keeping a journal since 2016. I noticed your “It’s (month)” cartoon in the early months of Covid. Ever since then I have printed out a copy to use as the cover page for each new month. Thank you.

Thank you! I appreciate it! I did end up posting the Hedger Corp story on my website, too. Just in case that's easier!

Yes, I could wrap all of it up like a gift. A gift from the past! : )
I look forward to all your funny and light-hearted writings! Thank you for brightening up my days!
Thank you! It means a lot to hear that.

No way!! I love to hear that! What a fun idea. I'm honored to be featured in your journal!
