This week, if you find yourself facing a stressful situation or drifting into a bad mood, try pushing a mental button called “Get Curious.”
For example, let’s say you’re worried about a situation that’s coming up. Don’t sit there fretting; instead, get curious.
Before the stressful event, you could also try thinking, “Well, THIS should be interesting.”
Or, if you’re going to be interacting with someone difficult, you can get curious ahead of time.
If you’re in a disagreement with someone, slow down and get curious.
You can even use this tip if you’re in a negative mood. Get curious about how that mood feels in your body. What are the sensations?
By getting curious about things—instead of getting stressed, scared, or upset—you’ll open up a new avenue of thinking for yourself. And this could diffuse your stress, enable you to see the bigger picture, and help you stay in the present moment.
After all, who knows how things will unfold? No one does! Life is so unpredictable and surprising. So get curious. Stay open to possibilities.
I hope you have a great week ahead!

Great tips. The "I need time to think this through" works with sane people. If it's a bully, those can be fighting words. You may need to step away and take a time out.
Love this! We are going on vacation and I'm worried about what I'll forget to pack! Getting curious helped me work out what will happen if I forget certain things! It put my mind at ease. Thanks for this!
