Lol how did you know I needed this today!

I love this, I’m dealing with preschool students that have this guy come around often. Thanks for the daily laughs!

Yep - definitely needed this today. I do love getting these Monday motivations. It gives me something to look forward to.

It helps to validate anger or any other negative emotion. Basically saying that it is okay to feel that way but don't let it control your actions. Just admire the determination.

I love these Monday Motivation emails!

Ohh yes we like this! We like to say "I'm just going to put that feeling down over there and I can come back to it if I need to". But I like the idea of punching things better 😂

Please put punching guy on a t-shirt.

I feel like I need that little dude as a tattoo.

Lol! Well, I'm going to turn it into a shirt! I can send you the art file if you want it for the future! Just email me -- adriennehedger(at)me.com

Would the t-shirt be of the little punching figure, or the punching figure inside the adult (punching figure=frantic, adult=calm)?

Hi David! Which one do you want? Maybe I'll do both?

Thanks for asking: the little punching figure inside the calm adult.

Excellent! I'll probably have it ready by the next Monday Motivation, so watch for an update then... Thank you, David!

I totally love this! Thank you!

What I have found to be extremely helpful is actually embodying /acting out my feelings in words, sounds, and movement, overdramatizing them to the point that they are funny. I do this with my husband, and it makes him laugh, which then makes me laugh too.

Yesterday I was insanely grumpy in the morning (sick cat wouldn't eat - I felt helpless; political news and culture wars; disagreeing with some extended family, etc.). Finally I just put on my super whiny voice and squealed, "I am so grumpy! Whine whine whine! I am just so mad and frustrated and grumpy about everything, and everything in the world seems annoying! Grrrrrrrrr!" I was twisting my body in knots and making all the frustrated faces, etc. (This would be expressed better in a video. 😂)

Looooong explanation! 😅 Anyhow, I feel so much better physically after that - it really frees up all that grippy tension. I'm lucky because it's just my husband and me. I don't have to worry about freaking out the kids!

So when I have to keep quiet, I will take your suggestion for sure and imagine the poor little grumpy person inside me hollering and jumping up and down. Otherwise, I will actually do it! ❤️
