My tip for this week: If you’re finding yourself feeling anxious, overthinking, or just generally struggling with your thoughts, try putting your thoughts in a file.
Let me explain.
You can picture your brain like a computer desktop, with a bunch of folders.
A new thought comes in. But it’s not a thought that’s really helping you. In that case, don’t just sit there dwelling on the thought. Instead, drag it into a folder. For example, you might want to deposit your thought in a folder called:
Or maybe one of these folders:
You’ve filed that thought away, so now what? I’ll tell you! Now you can open a more productive folder and grab a thought out of there!
For example, a folder called:
Or pull a thought out of one of these folders:
This helps you stay in charge of what you’re thinking. It empowers you to focus on thoughts that add something positive to your life and other lives, too.
What other folder names would you add? Feel free to share in the comments.
Have a great week ahead!

I have a file called NOT MY PROBLEM and I absolutely stuff it with thoughts almost daily. Sometimes HOURLY!
Love all of these! I have a file for “what should I make for dinner” that I take out and ruffle through what feels like are the same recipes just changed seasonally.
