Love this! Had to buy the cute socks that read "Shhh! I'm overthinking!" Just knowing they're in the sock drawer when I'm not wearing them helps!

I think I‘ll do that with my twin sons as a project. Drawing the person and control panel on cardboard and they can label the dials and buttons. One is very sensitive and emotional (worries easily) while his brother has ADHD and gets frustrated quickly. I’m sure it will be fun and helps them to understand, visualize and control their emotions. Thank you for the inspiration! 🙋🏼‍♀️

ahhh your buttons are so deep and profound. turn up compassion! don't push 'worry' ' mine would be like the ones on the elevator that say 'help in on the way' or 'Turbo Boost' (like my 1990s computer had) when I have to hurry but am also out of coffee.

This is the best! I do weird things like this too. Can we have an image template like yours to make our own visual reminder?

Imagine the button you don’t want to push encased in a plastic shield that you’d have to lift. Like the launch switch in movies for nuclear missiles!

I wear my emotions on my face and they're often used against me...AND I need a patience combo button...so I'm thinking my 2 knobs might be..."Erase /Neutralize my Face" & " Stop, Breathe, Think & Pray." Or maybe switches might work better for me...🤷‍♀️🥴🙃🤷‍♀️ Your writing continues to be a sanity-saver❣️👍 THANK YOU🙏

Right now, my Emotional Toaster (feel free to borrow the name. You're welcome LOL) would have two knobs on it: Compassion and Patience, with a possible Grace Booster. I'm co-caregiving a parent with moderate-advanced dementia, so that Patience knob has been dialed close to 10 for months now.
