I love getting your Monday motivation emails each week! I subscribe to Headspace (I like their cartoon characters too) and their content and yours reinforce each other. I'm a widow that lives alone and actually has it pretty darn good, but still need to be reminded of that and to let the negative old memories go! Thanks, and have a great week!

Thank you so much, Barb! I don't subscribe to Headspace, but I hear it's quite good. I think I would really like it!

Hi, Adrienne,

I just subscribed to your Substack...love the cartoons!

Might you be able to take a few minutes to connect with me? I'm trying to launch my politic-socio comedy Substack, "Oh Well, Orwell!" - but I'm having a heckuva time trying to navigate the Substack site. Thank you!

Thank you, Bob! I must confess, I'm no expert on Substack. I only learned the very basics, and I'm frequently confused. I have to keep referring to the resources they post online, which are good. You can try https://on.substack.com/ or https://substack.com/resources. I've also googled various questions and I often find answers posted on the Substack site.

You forgot the clowns! 😂 I look forward to your Monday Motivation! Thanks! Edie

YES! My unicyclists could be in clown costumes! And I HATE CLOWNS. Just sayin' they are super creepy...

Oh, yes -- that would have been good! I actually love drawing clowns.

My parade needs a group of unicyclists (labeled time management) juggling balls, weaving in and out between the floats of anxiety, frustration, annoyance, hope, and hilarity.

I can picture it, and I love it!

The parade is amazing. I think I’m going to create a go to sleep parade. And I really needed this today. Thank you!

I may have to get that "Ugh" float as a tattoo. It's too too hilarious.

on days that things go well, I have a parade of party poppers and confetti cannons (all flameless fireworks: big noise and bigger mess). sometimes when working through a difficult day and struggling to check off that ever growing to do list, I find it helpful to snap a party popper to celebrate just one more item done...then send the next 30 minutes cleaning up streamers and confetti. small steps. small steps.

That's so funny! I can picture that as a cartoon.

Panel 1: *POP* "Yay!!"

Then panel 2, when you're surveying all the confetti: "Darnit."

oops...(which, incidentally, I'm pretty sure will be my last words.)

So I did an inbox cleanse earlier this year and unsubbed from nearly EVERYTHING. Glad I left yours on, I like the tone and the content, not overly serious but humane. Much appreciated.

Oh, wow! Thank you!! That means a lot to me. I promise to keep entertaining you!

Hi, Adrienne...

Thanks for the prompt response! I've sent you below what my Substack initial screen looks like...but I don't know where I can navigate from here to add content. Ideally, I will add a newsletter each week - but I can't get past this placeholder page to add a few pages weekly.

I'm sure I'm missing something simple. Thoughts?

Thank you in advance for your assistance and consideration.

Bob M.

Welcome to Substack!

We've created this "Coming Soon" post for you. To edit it, click the three-dot icon.

It's just a placeholder and won't be sent out to your subscribers. To email them, click the "New Post" button.

Hi Bob, the Substack Help resources are going to be your best bet. I'm not good with this type of stuff, and my memory is poor (as we know from my cartoons on the subject). So I can't even remember how I set the whole thing up. I often have to look up how to use Substack, after using the site for a while. I'm just not great at it. But maybe this video will help: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AgM0uiRqFag
