This is good in any event--including going to sleep. The trick for me is to exhale longer than you inhale to really breathe out the stinking thinking. Happy Monday, all!

Thank you for sharing this! At our house, we practice the 'deep, cleansing breath'. when getting wound up, anxious, or overly concerned about something we can really do nothing about, we take a pause, and softly say 'deeeeep cleeeaaannnnsssssing breath' (slowly breath in on the 'deep cleansing' part and exhale on the 'breath' portion). this technique also works remarkably well for relaxing into sleep.
